Blockbuster provides video rental entertainment and is also in the online DVD rental business. Blockbuster is trying to reach all customers by lowering prices, no late fees and brand familiarity to keep its customers. Blockbuster is now advertising globally to reach more customers worldwide. Blockbuster is also advertising through facebook so they can appeal to future digital customers. Customers will be able to share movie choices and reviews with their friends through facebook and also order movies from Blockbuster without leaving facebook. Another marketing strategy Blockbuster is using is that they will put more movie vending machines inside Blockbuster stores, outside their stores and possibly by public transportation centers such as airports and trains. Blockbuster is trying to put itself everywhere so other brands will want to put the known brand's vending machines in their stores such as McDonalds rather than their competitors such as red box.
